In parallel with the Security2Cure conferences, Amazon Web Services will be hosting a AWS Jam event for the Infosec community. The event will be undertaken virtually and will be facilitated by the Australian AWS ​Customer Incident Response team on the afternoon through evening on Wednesday 14 August. The results and exciting prizes will be announced at the Sydney Security2Cure event. As this is an entirely virtual event it is open to participants Australia wide including those who can't attend the conference.

AWS Jam is a gamified learning event to build your practical understanding of AWS services and best practices. This is a CTF built for blue team/incident responders.

Individuals or teams compete to solve a series of technical challenges in a lab-based cloud infrastructure. Clues are available to help you navigate the challenges, but every time you use a clue, points are deducted from your score! A live leaderboard provides updates on your team’s scores, stats, and progress during an event.

The challenges cover different technologies and use cases such as security, DevOps, data analytics, machine learning, internet of things, migration, and more.

You can team up with colleagues from diverse roles, such as Developers, Architects, and Security Specialists, to find the most optimal solutions.
